nsf2midi ver0.131 [english]

Changes: (Babelfish translation)
-- Correction of a bug in the note detection algorithm.
-- "Pitch bending thinks and the ? drill by mistake corrects the fact that
it is." (I couldn't understand this, so I haven't tampered with the translation)
-- Some people complained that .130 sometimes corrupted logged midi files, I have no
clue if this was fixed in this version since I never had that problem myself...

introduction
------ ----- ---- --- -- -
This software was created for the purpose of listening to NSFs using your MIDI
devices, or logging them to an SMF (standard MIDI file).
The advantage to this is that it is possible to listen with different patches other than
the square waves, triangle, noise and pcm (among the other channels added with various chips), and that it would be possible to create a score from the data ... (perhaps... hehe.)
The disadvantage is that you are limited by your equipment, and MIDI equipment has a hard time
with 16 note arpeggios and the like.

Currently supporting:
------ ----- ---- --- -- -
-The 5 basic channels of the NES APU.
-VRC6 enhanced sound (Madara)
-FDS enhanced sound (Metroid-FDS Version)
-FME-7 enhanced sound
-Probably more

System requirements
------ ----- ---- --- -- -
Windows 95
IE4 or better

Advice
------ ----- ---- --- -- -
If you're having trouble with getting PCM or noise to sound, mess
with the detection level a bit.

Conclusion
------ ----- ---- --- -- -
This program was created so that it would be easier to recreate NES music without
having to do it by ear, so people could analyze the music more easily, and to provide
a means of allowing the user to swap the source/patches used to play back the music.
